The Emory University baseball team dropped game three of weekend series with Brandeis University, falling to the Judges 6-0 on Saturday afternoon at Chappell Park in Atlanta.
The two teams battled through rainy conditions for most of Saturday's contest while Brandeis' Dimitri Skorides tossed the second complete game shutout of the series.
Skourides held the Eagles to just four hits in the game with two coming off the bat of junior Zach Hanson. Classmate Cam Newell reached base three times on a single and pair of hit-by-pitches and fellow junior Corey Goldstick recorded the team's lone extra base hit with a double.
Brandeis broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning as the Judges' damage came with two outs as three came around to score against Emory starter Adam Geller.
The Judges added to their total with single runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth frames. The Eagles saw two batters reach base with one out in the eighth but were unable to scratch across a run.
The two teams will conclude the four-game series on Sunday with first pitch set for 12:00 PM in Atlanta.
