The Emory University women's tennis concluded its weekend in Macon on Saturday as the Eagles took part in singles matches on the final day of the Mercer Gridiron Classic. Across five different flights, the Eagles posted an overall record of 4-4 to finish the two-day tournament.
Victories on Saturday included semifinal triumphs from Jessy Chen over Middle Georgia State College in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 in the B2 flight and in the C1 flight, Daniela Livson rallied for a 5-7, 7-6 (6), 6-1 win.
Additionally, Audrey Pogue secured a 6-7 (4), 6-4, 13-11 win against Kennesaw State's Ivankovic in the A1 consolation match and in the consolation round of the B1 flight, Sara Nenkov posted a 7-5, 6-2 against her Florida A&M counterpart.
The Eagles will turn their attention to the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia next weekend as members of the team will compete for Division III hardware.
