The Emory University women's basketball program played their last home game of the 2024-25 season on Sunday afternoon defeating the Brandeis Judges, 77-69, following a pregame senior celebration.
The Eagles improve to 14-8 on the season and earn their sixth win in conference play. With the win, the Eagles are alone in third place in conference standings behind Carnegie Mellon (8-3) and No. 1 ranked NYU (11-0).

Hanna Malik leading the pack with 18 points. Teammates
Daniella Aronsky and
Alexandra Loucopoulos followed behind with 17 points each while senior
Erin Martin totaled four steals on the day.
The Judges were just able to outshoot Emory from the field 49.0-39.7 but the Eagles were able to take advantage of a 70.8 free throw percentage making 12-18 attempts in the fourth quarter alone.
After her senior season was cut short due to an injury, senior
Morgan Laudick entered the game today and scored Emory's first two points to start the game in a heartwarming moment. Loucopoulos and Aronsky both followed with three pointers helping the Eagles to a 10-7 lead in the first three minutes. Brandeis was not giving up without a fight going toe-to-toe with Emory to later tie the game at 16 apiece. Emory finished the first quarter on a 5-4 run to hold a 21-20 lead after the quarter.
Loucopoulos started the second quarter with a jumper but the Eagles were held scoreless for the next four minutes while the Judges fought their way back to a 23-23 tie. A few free throws and a three pointer from sophomore
Mary Mullinax broadened Emory's lead to six points with four minutes remaining in the half but Brandeis answered with five points to come within a one-point margin. Points from Malik and Mullinax ended the half for the Eagles holding a 38-32 lead going into the locker room.
In the first three and a half minutes of the second half, the Eagles took their biggest lead of the day with the trio of scorers helping to take a 46-36 lead. Emory then went on an 8-3 run in the next three minutes highlighted by three pointers from Aronsky and Malik for a 54-37 score with 4:20 remaining in the third quarter. The Judges continued to fight their way back keeping Emory to an 11-point lead at the end of the third.
Brandeis' offense dominated the first minute of the fourth quarter scoring seven points to cut into Emory's lead, 58-53 and continued fighting right alongside the Eagles with seven minutes left in the game. Both teams were scoreless for the next two and a half minutes with a free throw from Loucopoulos ending the scoring drought. Emory stayed around a seven-point lead for the next few minutes but took advantage of made free throws in the final minute to secure the 77-69 win.
The Eagles will head back to Chicago, Illinois on Friday, February 21 to face the Maroons at 8:30 PM EST before traveling to WashU on Sunday, February 23 to play at 1:00 PM EST.
