Mikayla Camp Named United Soccer Coaches Division III Postseason Player of the Year

Emory University sophomore Mikayla Camp has been named the United Soccer Coaches Division III Postseason Player of the Year as announced by the organization on Monday.

Camp put together a terrific six-game stretch that lifted the women's soccer program to their second consecutive appearance in the national semifinals as well as the program's second-ever berth in the national championship game.

Across six games, Camp netted five goals for 10 points including three-game winning goals. She recorded two braces against Johns Hopkins in the Sweet 16 as well as against Tufts University in the Final Four. Additionally, she scored the lone goal in the Eagles' 1-0 win over Pomona-Pitzer in the quarterfinals.

For the season, Camp matched junior Kaitlyn Nimmer for the team lead with 13 goals and finished second on the team with 26 points. She was one of three Eagles selected to the NCAA All-Tournament Team as well as a United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team pick and an All-University Athletic Association Honorable Mention.

Her 13 goals established a new career high for the second-year forward with her 26 points equaling her rookie season effort.
