The No. 4 ranked Emory men's soccer team defeated Case Western Reserve 1-0 Saturday afternoon on the road, earning their second conference win and their seventh shutout win on the year.
This is the third consecutive win for the Eagles against the Spartans in series history.

Logan Steren scored the lone goal for the Eagles in the 68
th minute thanks to an assist from grad student 
Jack Burgess.
 Following the win, the Eagles improve to 12-1-3 on the season and to 2-1-3 in conference play as the Spartans fall to 7-4-5 overall and 1-3-2 in conference play.
Emory outshot CWRU 16-8 on the match as the Eagles continue to lead the nation in shots and shots on goal, averaging 22.67 shots per game.
It was a scoreless first half, but the Eagles put shots up early, with senior 
Adeyemi Oni taking the first shot for the Eagles in the eighth minute and 
Owen Clark going for it in the 16
th minute, but they were both saved by CWRU.
The Eagles put up six shots to the Spartans' two in the first half, but both teams recorded two saves on the half.
The second half was a lot of the same, until Steren shifted the momentum for the Eagles with a goal off the corner kick in the 68
th minute.
The rest of the half was marked by shots from both ends as both squads put up three shots each after the goal, but the Eagles defense kept the Spartans at bay as the clock ran down.
The Eagles will conclude the regular season next Saturday as they take on Rochester on the road.
