The Emory University women's golf program broke a number of program records on the second day of the Tartan Invitational on Tuesday afternoon and took home the trophy with a record performance. The tournament was played at the 5,663 yards, 72 par Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania.
The team shot a program-record 273 (-15) on Tuesday afternoon and a program-record 557 across two days of competition. Teammates
Zimo Li and
Carys Code both shot 66 (-6), a program low for an individual round while Li, Code and junior
Esther Jung all scored below 140 across both rounds to shoot below the previous program record. The trio also earned All-Tournament honors for their performances.
NYU finished the tournament in second place shooting a 565 (-11) while Carnegie Mellon finished in third with a score of 571 (-5).
Code ended up with the best individual finish for the Eagles ranking second amongst individuals with a two-round score of 137 (-7) to set a new program record. After opening the first two holes with a par and a bogey, she dominated the rest of the day with seven birdies and nine pars to finish with a 66 (-6) in the second round.
Finishing right behind her was Li who shot a 138 (-6) across two rounds, also under the previous program record. She opened the day with two pars before adding six birdies and no bogeys to finish third individually with a 66 (-6) in the second round, the best round in program history.
Another Eagle finishing under the previous program record of 140 was Jung who shot a two-day total of 139 (-5) to finish fourth on the individual leaderboard. After shooting a 71 (-1) on Monday, she shot a 68 (-4) in the second round to shoot under the program record. Jung shot six birdies and just two bogeys on Tuesday for the best round of her career thus far.

Covi Yan who finished 13
th individually with a 143 (-1) across both rounds. She shot 13 pars in the second round on Tuesday with three birdies for a score of 73 (+1).
Coming in 21
st individually what freshman
Xinyi Zheng who finished with a 148 (+4) after two rounds of competition. She finished second on the team with 12 pars on Tuesday afternoon and shot an eagle on par-4 hole 13 to finish with a 75 (+3) in round two.
Fellow freshman
Jida Chiravachradej competed as an individual and took home 46
th individually following two rounds of competition. After shooting a 79 (+7) on Monday, she finished with a 78 (+6) shooting two birdies on Tuesday.
Next week, the Eagles will travel back to California to compete at the UC-Santa Cruz Invitational in Santa Cruz, California beginning on Monday, October 13.
