The Emory University women's basketball program dropped its matchup against the Millsaps College Majors on Sunday afternoon in Jackson, Mississippi.
The Eagles now hold a 3-2 record on the season and take their first loss on the road. A number of different Eagles were in the scoring books in the matchup with graduate transfer
Hanna Malik leading things with 10 points while going 3-10 from beyond the arc. Junior

Morgan Laudick and
Daniella Aronsky all posted nine points in the game while Laudick led the team with nine rebounds.
The Majors were able to get a jumpstart in the first four minutes of the game taking an 8-2 lead but points from Aronsky and sophomore
Mary Mullinax helped Emory come within one point of Millsaps with 2:12 on the clock in the first quarter. The Majors landed back-to-back jump shots to head into the second quarter with a 14-9 advantage.
Laudick and Malik opened the second quarter with two three pointers but Millsaps was able to keep up with the scoring taking their biggest lead of the game so far at 23-15 in the first four minutes of the quarter. Emory was held scoreless until the final 15 seconds of the half with Laudick sinking two free throws but the Majors responded with a three pointer at the buzzer to take a 36-17 lead into the locker room.
Sophomore
Alexandra Loucopoulos and Martini helped the Eagles start the third quarter with six points in the first three minutes but Millsaps was going toe-to-toe with the scoring keeping a 24 point advantage with 5:26 remaining in the quarter. Malik and Aronsky both hit late threes at the end of the quarter cutting into the Major's lead 54-33.
Millsaps' offense broke open in the fourth quarter scoring 28 points, their best quarter of the game. The duo of Aronsky and Malik continued landing three pointers to keep up with the Majors' scoring. Loucopoulos also entered the scoring in the fourth quarter taking advantage of free throws and a layup to force Millsaps into a timeout with 4:50 on the clock. The Majors finished the quarter on a 15-9 run to clinch the 82-54 win.
The Eagles will hit the road again after the holidays to face the Rhodes College Lynxes on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, November 1 in back-to-back matchups.
