Emory junior Courtney Von Stein scored a career-high 18
points and senior Keenan Whitesides added 16 points and seven
rebounds in helping the Eagles to a come-from-behind win at
Brandeis University Sunday afternoon. Emory raised its
overall slate to 9-7, 2-3 in the University Athletic Association
following a 73-65 win over the Judges who fell to 9-6 overall, 2-3

three-point field goals -- two from Von Stein and one apiece by
sophomore Sally Peterson and Whitesides -- to assume a 68-58 lead
with 59 ticks on the clock.
Brandeis held a 35-24 edge at halftime after hitting 37.9 percent
from the floor while the Eagles connected at a 29.0 percent clip
(9-of-31). Both squads actually shot better from three-point

Emory returns to action on Friday (Jan. 29) when it hosts the
University of Chicago in a 6:00 p.m. start.
