Sophomore Pooja Hemige collected one of the Eagles' two NCAA B Cuts over the weekend as Emory swimmers competed against athletes from Georgia Tech, Michigan, Auburn and Florida State at the Georgia Tech Invitational. On Friday, Hemige recorded a NCAA cut of 2:04.75 in prelims of the 200 IM - a time good enough to put her 8th in the nation. She followed that performance by taking 17th in the finals that night before she was 20th in the 200 Fly (2:09.09) on Sunday.
