Biography

Senior (2016):

Closed out his Emory career batting at a .264 clip with 37 runs scored, six doubles, nine RBI, and a team-best 25 stolen bases…Hit for a .419 average with 15 runs scored, 12 base on balls, eight stolen bases in his final nine games of the season...Stole a season-high three bases in Emory’s 15-2 victory over Shenandoah University in the NCAA South Regional Championship game…Was one of four games with at least two thefts…Tied a career-best with four runs scored in the win over the Hornets, one of three contests with four runs scored for Coble in 2016…Finishes his career second on the Emory all-time list with a .922 stolen base percentage and ninth on the all-time charts with 59 successful thefts.

Junior (2015): 

Coble became a regular starter for the Eagles during his junior campaign in 2015, seeing his name in the lineup on 31 occasions and playing in 38 total games.  He led all Emory players during the year with 23 stolen bases (on 26 attempts) and a .470 on base percentage.  The outfielder finished his campaign with a .278 batting average, while scoring 30 runs and driving in 13.  Coble collected six extra-base hits, including a pair of home runs, coming in back-to-back games against Washington University (Mo.) and Brandeis University during the UAA Championships.  He was five-for-nine (.556) during the year against left-handed pitching and had a .545 on base percentage when leading off an inning.  The right-handed batter drove in a season-high three runs against both St. Joseph’s College (Maine) on February 16th and Brandeis on March 11th.  Coble added a four-for-five day against Piedmont College on April 25th.

Sophomore (2014):

In his first year as an Eagle, Coble appeared in 32 games, making 15 starts for Emory.  He stole 11 bases on as many attempts during the year, and recorded a .338 on base percentage with 14 runs scored.  Coble, who saw time at second base and in the outfield, picked up 10 hits in 54 at bats, including a double and a triple, for .189 average.  He opened his Emory career by batting .461 (six-for-13) with four walks, five stolen bases, and six runs scored during his first six games.  The right-handed hitter recorded a .308 batting average (four-for-13) against left-handed pitching during the season.

Prior to Emory:

Played baseball at Florida A&M University for one year before coming to Emory... Played in nine games for the Division I program, making seven starts during the 2013 season... Finished the year with two hits and two runs scored... Was a four-year member of the Chamblee Charter School baseball team, where he was couched by Brian Ely... Also ran cross country in high school.

Personal:

Born August 21st... Brother Ennis played baseball at Dartmouth, and other brother, Alex, played baseball at Morehouse.
