Following her graduation from Sahuarita High School, sheplayed for Pima Community College for two seasons ... During herfreshman year, she was a member of the 2006 squad that captured theNational Junior College Athletic Association Division I nationalchampionship, earning all-tournament honors in the process ...Enjoyed a fine prep career as a pitcher at Sahuarita High, whereher earned All-State Southern Arizona honors on three occasions...In addition, she was chosen to the 3A All-Tournament duringstate competition for three years ... During her senior season shestruck out 242 batters in 163 innings and fashioned a 1.39 ERA ...Fashioned a glittering ERA of 0.46 and whiffed 225 batters in 165innings her junior year ...
