Biography

Graduate Student (2022):

Joining the team later in the season, Moberg proved to be an invaluable member of the 2021 Eagles squad, playing in and starting 28 contests… Despite missing the first 10 games of the season, Moberg finished with an impressive 24 hits on a batting average of .312 which was the fifth highest mark on the team… Her 20 runs placed her fourth highest on the team and seventh in conference play… Showed she was a power hitter as well finishing in the top 10 in conference play in both doubles (6) and home runs (3)… Poised in the batters box she drew 12 walks which saw her finish with the fourth highest on-base percentage (.419) on the Eagles squad… Generated a hit in 19 of her 28 games played… Matched her season-high in RBI with three in an 8-2 win over conference foe Brandeis (Apr. 2) thanks in large part to her second home run of the season… Her other three RBI game of the season came against NYU (Apr. 15) as she blasted a three-run homer to give the Eagles a 7-4 victory… Was named to the 2022 UAA Spring All-Academic Team.

 

Senior (2021):

Played in and started all 10 games for the 2021 Eagles squad… Generated seven hits on a batting average of .259… Led the team in walks working seven over the course of the season… Finished second on the team in doubles smashing three of them… Also crossed the plate five times while hitting four RBI… Her strongest performance of the season came in an 8-0 victory over Huntingdon (Apr. 7) in which she went 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI and a run scored.

 

Junior (2020):
Returned to the lineup and appeared in eight contests, five in a starting capacity ... Hit .211 (4-19) with three RBIs ... 2-for-4 at the plate and chipped in two ribbies in the second game of a DH vs. Birmingham Southern (Feb. 23)


Sophomore (2019):
Missed the season rehabbing an injury.


Freshman (2018):
Played in 30 games as a rookie ... 22 of her 25 starting assignments were at first base with the other three as the designated player ... Posted a .242 mark at the plate with three doubles and one homer ... Tied for the No. 2 position on the club with 11 walks ... Registered two multi-hit efforts and knocked in two or more runs on three occasions ... Blasted a three-run homer in the second frame, her first career round tripper, that gave the Eagles a 4-1 lead in the first game of a doubleheader vs. Christopher Newport (Mar. 15) ...  Sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning scored Cassie Baca with the winning run in a 2-1 triumph in the second game of a twinbill vs. Wesleyan (Mar. 23) ...  Hit safely twice in the Eagles’ five-inning, 9-0 win in the second game of a double dip vs. Wash U (Apr. 7) ...  Knocked in the game’s initial run in the top of the first inning with a single that scored Sarah Katz in an eventual 3-2 triumph over Georgia Gwinnett (Apr. 25), the top-ranked team in NAIA ... Two-out double in the top of the sixth scored Sammi Feller, knotting the score at 2-2 in an eventual 4-2 triumph over Lynchburg (May 12) in the NCAA Atlanta Regional.


High School:

Four-year member of the softball program at St. Charles North High School ... Was coached by Tom Poulin ... Served as team captain her senior year ... Three-year starter and all-conference honoree ... Fox Valley All-Area Team ... Her final campaign saw her hit .394 with 11 doubles, 6 home runs with 45 RBIs ... Had a .427 on-base percentage, .687 slugging and 1.114 OPS .... Member of 2015 and 2017 sectional championship teams ... As a junior she drove in 26 runs and posted a batting average of .396 with eight doubles and five home runs ... Earned Daily Herald academic All-Area honors ... Member of the Math Honor Society ... Volunteered at the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Feed My Starving Children, and Brighton Gardens Retirement Home.

Played travel ball for the Wasco Diamonds.
