Senior (2008):
McFarland earned an honorable mention to the All-UniversityAthletic Association (UAA) for his performance during the 2008season. For the second-consecutive year, he led the team inassists, recording 11 during the campaign, placing him third inschool history with 31 career assists. McFarland scored threegoals as well, placing tying him for third on the team with 17points. Also for the second-consecutive year, he led all UAAplayers with four assists in conference matches. McFarlandmatched a school single-game record with three assists againstMethodist University on August 31st. He had a two-goal gameagainst New York University on November 2nd. He also recordedthree game-winning assists during the season, giving him 10 overhis career, the second-best total in school history. McFarland will finish his career 11th in school history with 89career points, and 13th with 29 career goals, over the course of 73matches. He was named to the ESPN The Magazine AcademicAll-District First Team for his performances both on the field andin the classroom in 2008.
Junior (2007):
McFarland earned numerous postseason honors for the Eagles,following a successful 2007 for the junior forward. He wasnamed a CoSIDA Academic All-America second team member for hisperformance both on the field and in the classroom. McFarlandalso earned spots on the all-South Region and all-UniversityAthletic Association (UAA) second teams after scoring 16 points andfive goals in conference games (second in both categories only toteammate Patrick Carver), and leading all UAA players with sixassists. He finished the season leading all Emory playerswith 12 assists (eighth-best in school history), and second on thesquad with 12 goals and 36 points (13th-best in schoolhistory). He registered at least one point in 14 of theEagles' 19 games during the year. The junior scored twogame-winning goals during the year, both of which were‘golden goals,' one coming against Wittenberg University(Ohio) and the other against Greensboro College (N.C.). McFarland led all Emory players with five game-winning assists,including two in UAA matches. He was one of just eightplayers to appear in all 19 games for Emory, making 18 startsduring the season.
Sophomore (2006):
McFarland finished second on the team in scoring in 2006,registering five goals and a career-best five assists for 15 pointsduring the year. The forward was named to the AcademicAll-District team in his first year of eligibility for thehonor. McFarland recorded his second career hat-trick onSeptember 9th, scoring three goals against the seventh-rankedCollege of New Jersey. He became the seventh player in schoolhistory to record more than one hat trick over his career. McFarland finished second on the team with four game-winningassists. He played in all 17 games for Emory, making 13starts for the Eagles.
Freshman (2005):
McFarland finished his freshman season tied for second on theteam with nine goals, and third on the team with 21 points. McFarland appeared in all 19 Emory games during the season. The forward took 35 shots, 24 of which were on goal. McFarland scored the game-winning goal against conference rivalWashington University (Mo.).
