Biography

Junior (2015):

Gomas appeared in 12 games, making three starts as a junior. He scored his lone goal of the season in the team’s win over St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) on September 5th during the Sonny Carter Invitational. Gomas finished the season with four shots including three on goal and played a season-high 66 minutes in his first start of the year at Berry College on September 19th, a 2-1 Emory win.

Sophomore (2014):

Gomas appeared in 16 games, including nine in a starting role, for the Eagles during the 2014 season.  He scored his only goal of the campaign during the team’s 3-2 win over Rutgers-Newark on August 30th, later earning a spot on the Sonny Carter All-Tournament Team for his efforts.  He registered his season high with three shots against both Rutgers-Newark and New York University on October 17th.  The midfielder’s two shots on goal against NYU were a season-high as well.  Gomas finished the year with 14 total shots, five of which were on target.

Freshman (2013):

Gomas was a key reserve for the Eagles’ offense in 2013, playing in 16 games and logging 294 minutes during his freshman campaign.  He finished the year with a pair of goals, including the game-winning goal during his collegiate debut, helping Emory to a 6-2 victory against Marian University (Wis.) on August 31st.  Gomas also scored during the Eagles’ 4-1 win at Maryville College (Tenn.).  He made his only start of the season during the Eagles’ 4-2 win over Birmingham-Southern College on September 25th, playing 39 minutes in the game.  He logged a career-high 58 minutes at Oglethorpe University on September 12th.  Gomas finished his freshman season with nine shots, four of which were on goal.

Prior to Emory:

Was a four-year member of the Greater Atlanta Christian High School soccer team, serving as a team captain during his senior year... Recorded career highs with 20 goals and nine assists during his senior year... Named to the All-Gwinnett County Team and to the Gwinnett Super Six... Coached by Thom Jacquet and Ryan Chamblee in high school... Played club soccer for GSA for three seasons, where he was coached by Nuno Piteira.

Personal:

Born February 20th... Was a member of the Principal's Honor Roll in high school...Son of Michael and Orsana Gomas.
