Biography

Senior (2003):

Senior forward Matthew Levine became the fifth Eagle to behonored as the University Athletic Association's Player of theYear. Levine was selected to the all-conference first team for thethird straight year, a feat accomplished by only two other playersin Emory history. Levine began the season with a 10-gamegoal-scoring streak that included three multi-goal games. Hefinished it leading the Eagles in goals (15) and points (35). Hewas ranked nationally as high as eighth and ninth, respectively, inthose categories. Levine finished his collegiate career with 120points, 49 goals, and 22 assists, totals that rank second, third,and sixth in the school record book.

Junior (2002):

Junior forward Matthew Levine finished among the nationalscoring leaders for NCAA Division III. He was 18th in the nation inpoints per game in the final NCAA statistical report and 28th ingoals per game. Levine led the Eagles with 16 goals, nine assistsand 41 points. Levine recorded two hat tricks as well as three gamewinning goals to share the team lead. He was named conference"Athlete of the Week" for September 4 and Emory "Athlete of theWeek" four times. He ranks eighth all-time in school history forcareer points (85), sixth in career goals (34), and 12th in careerassists (17). This is the second time that Levine has been named tothe all-region team and the all-conference first team.

Sophomore (2001):

Played in 18 of 18 games and started 17 of those. Had 12 goalsand eight assists for 32 points. Had two game winning goals. Had acareer high 10 shots against Haverford on October 15. Was selectedto the NSCAA / Adidas All-South Third Team. Was selected to theAll-Conference (UAA) First Team. Placed amongst the top-tenall-time single season scoring leaders at Emory.

Freshman (2000):

Played in 15 of 17 games and started five of those. Had sixgoals for 12 points. Three of the six goals were game winning. Hada season high four shots twice against University of the South (TN)on November and Maryville College (TN) on November 4.
