Biography

Senior (2007):

Meehan was named to the all-University Athletic Association(UAA) second team for his performance during the 2007campaign.  He finished second amongst all UAA goalkeepers witha 0.82 goals against average and three shutouts in conferencematches.  Meehan completed his Emory career with one of themost successful seasons by a goalkeeper in school history, tying anEmory record with 16 wins and recording a 0.71 goals againstaverage, the second-best single-season mark by an Eagle.  Thesenior also added five shutouts during the year, ending his careerwith 15 shutouts, the fourth-most in school history.  Meehanalso finishes his career with a 32-9-0 record, the third-best wintotal by an Eagle goalkeeper, and tied for the best career-goalsagainst average of 0.71.  He started each of the 19 Emorygames this season, playing all but 100:25 in goal during the year,and finishes his career with 36-consecutive starts for the Eagles.

Junior (2006):

Meehan started each of Emory's 17 games during his first seasonas the Eagles' full-time goalkeeper.  The junior recorded sixshutouts during the season (including two in UAA play), thefifth-best total in school history.  Meehan's 0.93 goalsagainst average was the 10th-lowest single-season mark in schoolhistory, and his career 0.72 GAA is only .01 away from the bestaverage in Emory history.  He made 54 saves during the seasonwhile compiling an 11-6 record, and assisted on one goal during theseason, coming in the season-opening game againstWisconsin-Lutheran.

Sophomore (2005):

The goalkeeper started four games for the Eagles, andparticipated in six overall during his sophomore campaign. Meehan compiled a 5-0-0 record, compiling shutouts in each of hisfour starts.  Meehan helped the Eagles to a win in their firstgame of the season, playing all 90 minutes in goal during a 1-0shutout of the University of Texas in Dallas, and making sevensaves.  Meehan finished the season without allowing a goal,and he converted on 18 saves in 450 minutes.

Freshman (2004):

Meehan appeared in one game for the Eagles, playing 11 minutesand making one save.

Prior to Emory:

Attended Jesuit High School where he earned four letters in soccerwhile playing for coah Bob Bauman ... Served as captain his seniorseason ... Played in 30 games as a senior and was a member of theHillsborough County All-Star Team ... Captured a spot on theall-state squad ... As a freshman, he was a member of the squadthat was voted both the NSCAA and Studentsports.com as nationalchamps ... Played club soccer for Hillsborough County United (U-19and U-20) ... Eric Sims and Duke Dunnigan were his club coaches ...His club was advanced to the Super Y-League North AmericanChampionship finals two consecutive seasons and won the 2005 title... Also played golf for four years as a prep.
