Senior (2008):
Edelman earned the second All-University Athletic Association(UAA) honor of his career, as the senior was named to the SecondTeam in 2008. He was the co-captain and played in all 19games for the Emory defense, which finished the season ranked 11thin Division III with a 0.58 shutout percentage and 27th with a 0.72team goals-against average. Edelman and the Eagles' backlinehelped the team outscore opponents 57-14 and outshoot opposingteams 345-140 during the season. Offensively, hefinished the season with six assists for six points, both careerhighs, and his three assists on game-winning goals tie him for thebest mark on the team. Edelman assisted on the Eagles' onlygoal in their 1-1 tie with North Carolina Wesleyan College in thesecond round of the NCAA Tournament, and allowed the team toadvance with the tie-breaking goal in the ensuing shootout. He will finish his career with one goal and 13 assists for 15points during 71 games played. For his work in the classroomand on the field, Edelman was named to the ESPN The MagazineAcademic All-America Third Team, following his third-straightAcademic All-District honor.
Junior (2007):
Edelman was named an honorable mention to the all-UniversityAthletic Association (UAA) team for his performance as part of theEmory defense during the 2007 campaign. He was one of justthree players to start all 19 games for Emory during the season,helping Emory to a 0.67 team goals against average and nineshutouts. Edelman helped the Eagles outscore their opponents58-13, and hold a 146-57 advantage in shots on goal in 2007. His 37 consecutive-game starting streak is the longest activestreak by an Emory player. Edelman also contributed careerbests with one goal and four assists during the season, includinggame-winning assists against Guilford College (N.C.) and CarnegieMellon University (Pa.).
Sophomore (2006):
Edelman started all 17 games for Emory's defense during the 2006campaign. He was a key member of the Eagles' backfield, whichcompiled a 0.93 goals against average and seven shutouts during theyear. The sophomore picked up his only point of the yearagainst Piedmont College (Ga.), assist on a goal during a 3-0 Emoryvictory. Edelman was named to the CoSIDA AcademicAll-District second team for his performance both on and off thefield.
Freshman (2005):
Edelman appeared in 16 games for the Eagles, starting four ofthem as a freshman. He was part of an Emory defense that hadthe ninth-highest shutout percentage in Division III soccer, the16th-best team goals against average and broke a school record byshutting out 14 of its 19 opponents. Edelman helped theEagles defeat LaGrange College (Ga.) 8-0, picking up two assists inthe game. Edelman took one shot on goal during theseason.
