Biography

Senior(2014):

Cochran played in 18 games during his senior season, includingthree as a starter, finishing the campaign with four assists, thirdamong Emory players in 2014.  Two of his assists came ongame-winning overtime goals – against Oglethorpe Universityon October 1st and Washington University (Mo.) onOctober 5th.  The game-winning assist againstWashington was his second helper of the contest, matching hiscareer high.  He later earned University Athletic Association(UAA) Offensive Athlete of the Week honors for the effort. His other assist during the year came on September 10thin a 2-1 win over Covenant College.  Cochran finished hisEmory career with two goals and 19 assists (tied for19th in school history) for 23 total points.  Inaddition, his nine career game-winning assists are tied for thefourth-most in the program’s history.

Junior(2013):

Cochran was the Eagles’ leader in assists with acareer-high seven during the 2013 campaign, adding on one goal fora total of nine points, the fifth-most among all Emory playersduring the season.  His 0.44 assists per game ranked53rd among Division III players during the season, whilehis seven assists were 97th among all D-IIIplayers.  The junior also ranked fourth among all UAA playersin assists, and second with three assists in conference play. Cochran notched assists on three game-winning goals during thecampaign (against Averett University on September 6th,Millsaps College on September 28th and the University ofChicago on October 12th), and his seven careergame-winning assists are tied for the eighth-most in theprogram’s history.  He had a pair of three-game streakswith an assist, from September 6th –12th and September 28th – October12th.  He scored his only goal of the season, andthe second of his career, at Covenant College on October23rd.  Cochran also contributed to an Emory defensethat recorded a 1.08 goals-against average and six shutouts duringthe season, while limiting opponents to 12.3 shots and 4.7 shots ongoal per game.  The outside back made 14 starts and appearedin 16 total games, registering 1,145 minutes for the Eagles andfinishing the year with nine shots, including three on goal. At the end of his junior season, Cochran ranks 13th inschool history with 0.33 assists per game over his career.

Sophomore(2012):

Cochran played in 18 games during his sophomore season,appearing in nine off the bench.  He recorded hissecond-straight four-assist campaign, tied for the third-mostassists by an Eagle during the season.  The midfielder/defender led all Eagles with three game-winning assists, two ofwhich came on 'golden goals.'  On October 19th, he recorded apair of assists against Covenant College, including one on thegame-winning goal in overtime, helping the Eagles to a 4-3 victory. His two assists in conference play were tied for thesixth-most in the UAA this season.  Cochran also finished theseason with three shots, two of which were on goal.

Freshman(2011):

Cochran finished his freshman campaign with one goal and fourassists, coming over the course of 12 games played and threestarts.  The four assists were the second-most among all Emoryplayers during the season, and led all freshmen on the squad. His one goal scored during the year was the game-winning goalagainst Rowan University on September 11th, capping off a one-goal,two assist game.  Cochran also assisted on the game-winninggoal in double-overtime against Covenant College on October5th.  Another of his assists came on a long throw-in duringthe second half against New York University on October 30th,setting up the game-tying goal en route to an Emory win. Cochran finished the year with four shots, two of which were ongoal.

Prior to Emory:

Played on the Langley High School soccer team for four years...Was named to the all-district first team, and the all-D.C. MetroArea and All-Region second teams... Recorded 17 assists during hissenior year and 11 during his freshman campaign... Coached in highschool by Bo Amato... Played for the Great Falls Soccer Club,serving as the team captain... Was coached on his club team by MarkRyan... Also played varsity basketball in high school.
