Prior to Emory:
Played on the Blacksburg High School soccer team from 2006-10,serving as the team captain for three seasons... Was an all-statehonorable mention and a first team all-region and all-districthonoree in 2010, in addition to earning all-district second teamhonors in 2009... Also earned his team's most valuable player andmost valuable senior honors, while earning a spot on the VHSCAall-star team during his senior campaign... Scored seven goals and11 assists for 25 points during his senior season... Coached byShelley Blumenthal in high school... Played club soccer for theRoanoke Stars from 2005-10, where he was coached by Danny Beamerand Garaham MacLean... Served as his club team's captain from2007-10... Also played basketball in high school.
