Senior(2012):
Garofalo was a key player both offensively and defensively forthe Eagles during the 2012 campaign, earning an honorable mentionto the all-University Athletic Association (UAA) team for hisefforts over the course of the year. The outside back, whotook the majority of the corner and free kicks during the season,finished the year with the team lead with six assists, thefourth-most among UAA players during the season. Four of hisassists came during conference games, the second-most during the2012 campaign. Garofalo matched the school single-game recordwith three assists against Case Western Reserve University onOctober 12th, marking the 23rd time an Eagle has accomplished thefeat, and just the fifth time it has happened against a conferenceopponent. His one goal during the year came on October 19thagainst Covenant College, helping Emory to a 4-3 overtime victory. He also assisted on a goal during the Eagles' season-openingtie against Brewton-Parker College, earning a spot on the SonnyCarter Invitational All-Tournament team. Garofalo took 12shots during the season, six of which were on goal. He endedhis Emory career with three goals and 12 assists for 18 points, andhis 4,880 minutes played are the fourth-most by an Eagle.
Junior(2011):
Garofalo earned the first post-season honor of his career in2011, as the junior was named to the all-University AthleticAssociation (UAA) Second Team. He led all Emory players withfive assists during the season, and was tied for fifth on the squadwith seven points. The outside back finished the year ranked211th among Division III players in assists per game, and 248th intotal assists. Garofalo was also tied for the team lead withtwo game-winning assists, coming on goals against OglethorpeUniversity on September 14th and the University of Rochester onOctober 16th. His one goal scored during the year was agame-winning goal, helping the Eagles to a 1-0 win over BrandeisUniversity on October 28th. The junior finishedconference play with three assists, the third-most among allUAA players. Starting 15 of the 16 games he played in, herecorded career-highs with 20 shots and 10 shots on goal. Garofalo was also a part of an Eagles' defense that recorded sevenshutouts and a 1.39 goals-against average, while allowing the teamto hold a 295-178 advantage in shots taken during the year. Garofalo was named the UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week on October31st.
Sophomore(2010):
Despite being limited to 13 games and six starts due to injury,Garofalo was a key member of the Emory defense, which finishedfourth among all NCAA Division III teams with a school-record 0.41goals-against average. As a unit, the Emory backfield set aschool records with nine-consecutive shutouts from from September5th - October 9th and 13 shutouts overall, while limiting opponentsto 5.1 shots on goal per game. Garofalo's one goal on theseason was a game winner, coming during the Eagles' 3-0 win againstAverett University on September 19th. He added an assistduring the team's 4-0 win over Rochester on October 29th. Garofalo finished the season with eight shots, three of which wereon goal.
Freshman(2009):
Garofalo started 16 of the 17 games he played in for the Emorydefense during his freshman season. He was a key member ofthe backline, which recorded a goals against average of 0.92, the75th-lowest mark among the 377 Division III teams. Garofalotook seven shots during the season, three of which were ongoal.

Played for five seasons on the Mount de Sales Academy soccerteam, serving as the team captain during his senior season...Scored 30 goals and 30 assists during his high school career... Wasnamed to the all-state team in 2007 and 2008, and the all-regionteam in 2006, 2007 and 2008... Coached by Iain Jones in highschool... Played for the AFC Lightening club team, where he wascoached by Robin Dixon... Also ran track in high school.
