Freshman (2011):

Bowers played in 10 games during his freshman season, including starting appearances during each of Emory's final three games.  The defender helped the Eagles outscore opponents 25-18 in games that he played in.  Bowers helped an Emory defense that recorded seven shutouts and a 1.39 goals-against average, while allowing the team to hold a 295-178 advantage in shots taken during the year.

Played on the Charles E. Jorda High School soccer team for four seasons, serving as the captain during his junior and senior seasons... Was coached in high school by Steve Turner... Also played for the Triangle Futbol Club, where he was coached by Mike Brady.
