Senior (2007):
Diego earned his first all-University Athletic Association (UAA)honors during the 2007 season, as the midfielder was named anhonorable mention to the all-conference team. The attackingcentral midfielder was one of the keys to the Emory offense,playing in 18 games, including 17 starts, for the Eagles. Diego recorded career highs with three goals and three assists fornine points during the season, including two game-winning assistsin UAA matches, coming against the University of Chicago (Ill.) andBrandeis University (Mass.). The assist against Chicago cameon the ‘golden goal' in the second overtime period. Hefinishes his Emory career with seven goals and seven assists for 21points.
Junior (2006):
Diego was the top scorer off the bench for the Eagles in 2006,registering three goals and two assists for eight total points, allcareer bests. Diego played in all 17 games for Emory, makingthree starts during the campaign. Two of his goals were gamewinners, one coming in a 1-0 defeat of Lynchburg College (Va.) andthe other in a 3-0 win over Greensboro College (N.C.). Thesophomore added an important assist on a goal against the Collegeof New Jersey, ranked seventh in the nation when the two teams met.
Sophomore (2005):
Diego appeared in 11 games for the Eagles, making twostarts. The sophomore midfielder took nine shots for theEmory, three of which were on goal.
Freshman (2004):
Alex Diego was the only Freshman to start a game for the Eagles,starting a total three and playing in 18. He scored one goal andtwo assists for four points.
