Biography

Senior (2003-04):

In his senior season, Robert Spivey earned the team award forBest Defensive Player. On the offensive side, Spivey ranked fourthin conference play in three pointers made, and sixth in three-pointpercentage. On the team, Spivey ranked first in three-point fieldgoals made, third in free throw percentage, fourth in points andassists, and fifth in steals. In a win against defending conferencechampion Washington (MO), Spivey scored a season high 19 points,shooting 4-of-6 from behind the arc. Against Savannah College ofArt and Design, Spivey made six three pointers, tying the schoolrecord for most treys in a game for the third time in his career.Spivey graduates as first all-time in school history in careerthree pointers made, first in career free throw percentage, eighthin career points, 11th in field goals made and 12th in careerassists.

Junior (2002-03):

With the depth on the team this season, Spivey was given the newrole of a bench player and he provided 5.0 points a game. He had aseason-high 17 points against Brandeis (Mass.) on January 26 andhad two other games with double-digit scoring. The junior guard ison pace to become the career free-throw percentage leader at Emorywith a career .857 percentage. Spivey holds a school record of 35straight games with at least one three-point field goal. The streakgoes from January 5, 2001, to February 3, 2003. He ranks secondall-time in Emory history in three-pointers made. He is one fieldgoal behind the record holder and enters next season needing two tobreak the record.

Sophomore (2001-02):

Started in 24 of 25 games. Averaged 12.8 ppg and 2.2 rpg. Had aseason-high 23 points twice. Had a season-high six rebounds againstCarnegie Mellon on February 15. Had a season-high seven assistsagainst Carnegie Mellon on February 15. Had a season-high twoblocks against Carnegie Mellon on February 15. Had a season-hightwo steals four times.

Freshman (2000-01):

Started in 24 of 25 games. Averaged 13.4 ppg, including a .4133-pt. percentage, 2.0 rpg and 1.8 apg. Had a season-high 22 pointstwice. Had a season-high six rebounds at Rust College (MS) onDecember 9. Had a season-high four assists twice. Had a career-highthree steals twice. Named Honorable Mention All-UAA.
