Sophomore (2010):
Vaughn played in 16 games for Emory in 2010, batting .192(five-for-26) with three runs batted in and four runs scored. He made seven starts, with five coming at first base, and the othertwo as the designated hitter. Vaughn added on six walks andtwo stolen bases during the year as well. He drove in aseason-best two runs against Washington University (Mo.) on March9th. Vaughn also pitched a third of an inning againstHuntingdon College on April 17th, retiring the only batter hefaced.
Freshman (2009):
Vaughn appeared in 12 games for the Eagles during the 2009season, making three starts. The first baseman hit .308(four-for-13) with two RBIs and a run scored. Vaughn alsomade one appearance as a pitcher, throwing two innings againstMillsaps College on February 27th, striking out four batters andallowing a run on two hits.

Prior to Emory:
Played on the Houston Christian High School baseball team forfour seasons, serving as the team captain during his seniorseasons... Helped his squad to two Texas State Championships, andthree regional championships...Named to the all-district first teamin 2008, and the second team in 2007... Named a Houston AreaBaseball All-Star in 2008... Coached by Ron Mathis... Also playedfootball in high school.
