Attended Trinity Preparatory School, where he played on thebaseball team for four years, and served as the team's captainduring his senior season... Was named the team's most valuableplayer in 2006, and the most valuable defensive player in 2007...Recorded a 2.50 earned run average during his senior season,helping his team to become the runners up in Class 3A... Wascoached by Dale Salapa in high school, and also played basketballand ran cross country.
