Biography

Senior (2005):

Carr finished his Emory career in style, picking up a win in hisfinal game, a 5-4 win over LaGrange College (Ga.), ranked 19th inthe nation. The senior won 27 games in his Emory career, third inschool history. Earlier in the season, Carr tied the NCAAall-division record -- and set a new Division III record --- with26 consecutive victories, compiled over three seasons. Carrfinished 2005 with four wins, leading the team in innings pitchedand starts. He had a complete game win March 2 over Adrian College(Mich.), allowing only two earned runs in nine innings.

Junior (2004):

Carr was named second team all-America, regional co-pitcher ofthe year, first team all-region, and first team all-conference. Hehad a 13-0 record, placing him second in the nation for most winsin Division III, one behind the eventual World Series MVP. Carr wasone of two pitchers in the nation to compile a perfect record with10 or more wins this season. Carr's 13 victories were an Emorysingle-season record and in three years on the team he has neverregistered a loss (his career record is 23-0). In addition toleading Emory in wins, Carr was first in innings pitched and threwthe team's only two complete games of the season. He is fifth alltime in the Emory record book for career wins. At the conferencetournament, Carr went 2-0, winning games both as a starter andreliever.

Sophomore (2003):

Carr began the season in the bullpen, but eventually worked hisway into the rotation, started seven games and finished the yearwith a 10-0 record. Carr's 10 wins on the season are the secondmost in school history for a single season (and fourth in thenation) and he broke the record for relief wins in a season. Carr's24 appearances ties him with two others for the second most inEmory history. He recorded 27 strikeouts, just 13 walks and posteda 4.11 ERA over the season.

Freshman (2002):

Carr pitched 13.2 innings in nine appearances for the Eagles. Hehad a 2.63 ERA with 12 strikeouts and one save.
