Biography

Senior (2006):

Appeared in 36 games for the blue and gold, starting 24contests.  For the year Gettinger batted .234 with 22 hits, 19RBI and 14 runs scored.  He also had eight doubles and onetriple.  Against York College (Pa.) on Feb. 24, Gettingerbatted .333, while going 3-5 and scoring a run and recording anRBI.  Recorded a home run on May 18 against Salisbury College(Md.) during NCAA Regional competition.

Junior (2005):

The junior shortstop led the conference in batting average(.556) and slugging percentage (1.056) at the annual UniversityAthletic Association tournament, and was named to theall-conference second team for his efforts. During the regularseason, Gettinger led the team in several offensive categories:batting average, slugging percentage, RBI, doubles and total bases.He had multiple hits in 17 of the Eagles' 39 games. He also had atwo-home run game March 14 against Case Western Reserve University(Ohio), the 20th two-home run game in school history and the firstin conference play. He was named the team's Best Offensive Playerfor the season.

Sophomore (2004):

Gettinger played in 33 games, started 22, batted .250 with onehome run and nine RBI and was perfect in five steal attempts. Heset single-game career highs with three RBI and three runs scoredin an 11-3 win over Huntingdon (Ala.) April 13. He had three hitsin his first game of the year, Feb. 17 against University of theSouth (Tenn.).

Freshman (2003):

Gettinger came off the bench in 12 games, recording three runs,two hits and two RBI in 12 at bats.
