Sophomore (2014):
Summey appeared in four games out of the bullpen for Emoryduring the 2014 season. The southpaw turned in a scorelessinning of work against Oglethorpe University on February25th.
Freshman (2013):
Summey made nine appearances out of the bullpen for Emory duringhis freshman season, going 1-0 with one save and a 4.41 ERA, whilestriking out 15 batters over 16.1 innings pitched. Theleft-handed pitcher limited opponents to a .267 batting average,and he did not allow an extra base hit during the campaign. Lefties picked up just two hits in 17 at bats against him, for justa .118 batting average, and opponents were just eight-for-41 (.195)with men on base against Summey. He did not allow an earnedrun in five of his nine outings during the year, and limited theopposition to one earned run or less in all but two of hisappearances. Summey earned a win in his first career game,pitching three shutout innings at Oglethorpe on February20th and limiting the Stormy Petrels to just one hit andtwo walks, while striking out three. He earned his firstcareer save on February 24th with 2.2 shutout inningsagainst Bates College, surrendering just three hits and strikingout three. Summey was named the UAA Athlete of the Week onFebruary 25th.

Prior to Emory:
Played for the Kell High School baseball team for fourseasons... Recorded a 1.35 ERA his junior season and a 3.98 ERA hissenior year... Was coached by Donnie English in high school... Alsoran cross country and wrestled.
Personal:
Born April 29th... Won a Georgia Certificate of Merit in highschool... Was also an AP Scholar Award winner, and a member of theNational Honor Society.
