Sophomore (2008):

McDonough, who was limited to 13 games due to injury, batted.308 with two runs batted in during his sophomore campaign. He went three-for-eight as a pinch hitter, good for a .375 battingaverage.  McDonough picked up a key game-tying RBI single inthe ninth inning of the Eagles' 8-8 tie against MethodistUniversity on March 30th.

Freshman (2007):

McDonough started 18 games for the Eagles during the 2007,playing in 31 overall.  The catcher became the first freshmanto make an opening day start for the Eagles since the 2003season.  McDonough batted .231 with nine runs batted in, 10runs scored and three doubles during the year.  His bestoffensive performance of the season came on April 1st againstOglethorpe University (Ga.), when he went two-for-three with threeRBIs.  McDonough recorded five RBIs over a three-game stretchfrom April 1st through April 6th.
