Senior (2006):
Gordon turned in a solid final campaign as an Eagle. Hefinished the season with a .350 batting average to go with 48 hits,25 runs scored and 19 RBI. Gordon also recorded 10 doubles,three triples and one home run. When on base he was a perfect12 of 12 in stolen bases. Against Juniata College (Pa.) onFeb. 26 he finished 2-4 with two RBI and one run scored. Against Millsaps College (Miss.) he batted .309 and was 3-5 at theplate with two RBI and one run scored. Gordon was named firstteam First Team Academic All-America, as well as First TeamAll-District.
Junior (2005):
Junior second baseman was fifth on the team in batting average(.320) and on base percentage (.410). Was also second in doublesand fifth in total bases. Had 8 multi-hit games. April 18 atMillsaps College (Miss.), went 1-for-4 with two runs scored, oneRBI and three stolen bases. Has hit .320 or higher in all three ofhis collegiate seasons.
Sophomore (2004):
Gordon batted .327 in 44 games. He was third on the team in runsscored (41) and stolen bases (18) and fifth in multi-hit games(15). He was caught stealing just once. Gordon is fifth all time atEmory in career stolen base percentage (.857, 30-for-35). He setcareer highs in six offensive categories on the year. Gordon had astring of four consecutive multi-hit games March 18-21.
Freshman (2003):
Gordon batted .394 in 37 games with 23 runs scored, 20 RBI and12 stolen bases this season. In seven postseason games, he hit .375with 12 hits (second on the team), seven runs scored (also second)and 6-for-6 in steals, which led Emory and was second best amongall World Series participants. Gordon went 4-for-6 with two runsbatted in and two runs scored in a 15-8 win over Methodist (N.C.),then the No. 15 team in the nation, April 26. He led all Emoryfreshmen in games played and was second in games started. Gordonbatted leadoff in all 19 of his starts.
