Biography

Senior (2015):

Selbach played in 45 games for the second straight season, making 37 starts. He totaled 38 hits including four doubles and one triple. Selbach drove in career-high 25 runs and scored 17 times on the season to go along with nine stolen bases in 11 attempts. He was named to the All-UAA Tournament Team after hitting .345 in the team's eight games, with one double, five runs, four RBIs and five stolen bases.

Junior (2014):

Selbach had a breakthrough season in 2014, batting .350 over 45 games played and 36 starts during the year.  Selbach registered career-highs in average, runs (20), hits (49), doubles (five), runs batted in (21) and stolen bases (eight) and fielding percentage (.980).  The first baseman hit .313 (15-for-48) with seven RBIs, while starting each of Emory’s 12 postseason games.  He had 16 multiple hit games, and batted .439 (18-for-41) against lefties in 2014.  Selbach had three-hit games during NCAA Tournament play against Rhodes College, Shenandoah University, and Baldwin-Wallace College.

Sophomore (2013):

Selbach saw action in 22 games during his sophomore season, primarily at first base, making 16 starts.  He finished the year with a .233 batting average, picking up 10 hits in 43 at bats.  Selbach scored six runs during the campaign and drove in five, while stealing five bases on six attempts and walking nine times to raise his on base percentage to .358.  He hit .273 (nine-for-33) against right-handed pitching.  Selbach had four multiple-hit games during the year, including a two-for-three game with two RBIs in the second game of a doubleheader against Covenant on Match 30th.  He also walked three times and scored a pair of runs against Brandeis on March 13th.

Freshman (2012):

Selbach made two starts and appeared in 17 games during his freshman season, serving mostly as a pinch runner.  He finished the year with seven runs scored and two stolen bases on three attempts, while going two-for-11 at the plate.
