Senior (2007):
Glushon ends his Emory career as one of the most decoratedpitchers in Emory history. In 2007, he was named asecond-team All-American by the American Baseball CoachesAssociation (ABCA), a third All-American by d3baseball.com, and theSouth Region Pitcher of the Year by both the National CollegiateBaseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the ABCA. Glushonbecame the 10th All-American in the program's history and the firstoutright Emory winner of both South Region Pitcher of the YearAwards. He also became the first Emory pitcher to be named tothe All-NCAA Division III Championship Tournament team, aftercompiling a 1.93 earned run average with 12 strikeouts in 14innings pitched. Glushon was named the University AthleticAssociation Player of the Year, throwing 16 innings during theconference tournament without allowing a run, while striking out 15batters en route to two victories. Glushon worked harder thanany other Emory pitcher in the school's history, throwing an Emorysingle-season record 125.1 innings (11th-most in Division IIIhistory), over a school-record 17 starts (10th-most in Division IIIhistory). The wear and tear on the senior's arm didn't showin his performance however, as he set a school record with 13 winsduring the season (the second-most in the nation during the year),while recording a 2.23 earned run average (the 56th-best inDivision III) and striking out 112 batters, the third-most in thenation and fourth-most in school history. Glushon recorded astreak of 45.2 innings pitched without issuing a walk, from April23, 2006 until March 13, 2007, and finished his career with thelowest career walks per game ratio in school history (1.10), andthe three best single season walks per game ratios in schoolhistory. His 2.32 career ERA is the third-best in schoolhistory and his 29 career wins are third best in the Emory records(he finished his career with a 29-4 record). Following the2007 season Jason Glushon signed a free agent contract with theOakland Athletics.
Junior (2006):
Glushon appeared in 14 contests on the mound for Emory, whileearning second team All-UAA honors. He led the team invictories with a record of 9-2 and an ERA of 1.86. AgainstBrandeis University (Mass.) in the UAA tournament he pitched 8innings and struck out 10 batters, while allowing four hits. Also led the team in strike outs with 76.
Sophomore (2005):
Glushon earned a spot on the all-region second team for thefirst time. He began his season working out of the bullpen, butfinished as a starter. The sophomore led the team in wins -- with a5-0 record -- and also compiled a 2.55 earned run average in 67innings pitched. His 2.55 ERA was the fourth-best in Emory historyfor a first-year starter (minimum 50 innings pitched). Glushonworked into the sixth inning in seven of his 10 starts. His beststart came April 3 against LaGrange College (Ga.), when he gave upseven hits, zero runs and struck out five in 7.2 innings to leadEmory to a shutout win. Glushon also finished the season with twosaves.
Freshman (2004):
Glushon pitched seven and one-third innings of shutout relieffor his first collegiate win, Feb. 29 against York (Pa.). He madenine appearances and finished the year 2-0 with a 3.71 ERA in 26.2innings and walked just one batter.

Prior to Emory:
Competed on the Harvard Westlake High School baseball team forfour seasons, serving as the captain during his senior year...Named the Mission League Pitcher of the Year, and to the CaliforniaInterscholastic Federation all-State first team and SouthernSection Team in 2003... Was the starting pitcher in a seven-pitchercombined no-hitter in the Bernie Milligan All-Star Game in June2003... Honored with the team's Coach's Award in 2000, the MostInspirational Award in 2001 and the Best Pitcher Award in 2002...Named the Team Most Valuable Player in 2003... Compiled a 0.98earned run average with six saves and 67 strikeouts during hissenior year and a 2.84 earned run average with 59 strikeouts duringhis junior year... Hit a homerun in his only at-bat during hisjunior year... Was coached by Tim Cunningham and Jeff Bennett...Also played football in high school.

Born on May 26, 1985... Was teammates with Emory infielder FrankPfister on Harvard-Westlake's city runner-up team in 2003.
