Junior (2006):
Baum competed in 32 contests for the Eagles, finishing with ahitting percentage of .343. He had 35 hits on the season togo with 31 RBI. He also scored 30 runs, including threehomeruns. He also collected 10 doubles. Baum batted.500 three different times this season, including a 3-4 performanceversus Lewis and Clark University (Ore.) on Feb. 19, where herecorded four RBI and scored two runs. He also recorded fourRBI against Oglethorpe University (Ga.) on March 2 and MethodistCollege (N.C.) on April 23.
Sophomore (2005):
Baum earned an honorable mention for the all-region team, hisfirst such honor. He stood out in the University AthleticAssociation (UAA) tournament, earning second team all-conferencehonors. In five UAA games, he batted .471 with one homerun and fiveRBIs. Against Case Western Reserve University (Ohio), Baum went4-for-5, picking up two doubles, a homerun and three RBI. Thesophomore catcher was named the team's Most Improved Player. He ledthe team in on base percentage (.443) and was second on the team inbatting average (.343), home runs (3) and slugging (.515).
Freshman (2004):
Baum played in 20 games, 12 of them starts, and batted .308(12-for-39). He slugged .538 and knocked in 12 runs, the most amongEmory's freshmen. He went 3-for-4, including a triple and a double,with 4 RBI against Edgewood (Wis.) March 21.
