Senior (2011):
Shivers hit .264 during his senior season, driving in 19 runsand scoring 25. Shiver played in 40 games, making 35 starts,and added two doubles, three triples (ranking him 113th amongDivision III players) and five stolen bases, while walking 22times. Shivers hit .361 when leading off an inning(13-for-36) and .340 (16-for-47) with runners in scoringposition. He was three-for-four with a triple and three RBIsagainst York College (Pa.) on February 20th, and three-for-fivewith two RBIs and a triple against LaGrange College on February23rd. Shivers ends his Emory career ranked 15th in schoolhistory with a .429 on base percentage.
Junior (2010):
Shivers' first season as an Eagle was an extremely successfulone, as the junior led all Emory players with a .421 battingaverage, 34 runs scored and 10 stolen bases on 13 attempts. He played in 36 games, making 30 starts, and accumulating sixdoubles and a triple among his 48 hits, while driving in 20runs. Shivers also walked 16 times during the year, whilestriking out just 15 times. In the field, Shivers was perfectas the Eagles' centerfielder, converting all 79 of his chances withfour outfield assists. On March 30th, Shivers set a schoolrecord for hits in a game, notching six hits (five singles and adouble), while driving in four runs, scoring three, and stealingtwo bases. For his efforts during the season, Shivers wasnamed to the all-UAA first team.
