Senior (2007):
Custer compiled his most successful season as an Eagle in 2007,finishing 2007 with a .360 batting average, the second-best on theteam. The senior started 52 of 53 games for the Eagles duringthe year, and played every inning of the Eagles' 11-game runthrough the NCAA Tournament. He finished the year with 35runs scored, 33 runs batted in, and two home runs. Theshortstop was named to the All-NCAA Division III ChampionshipTournament team after leading the Eagles with a .474 average oversix games. Custer was named to the All-University AthleticAssociation first team after batting a team-leading .476 with threedoubles during the six-game stretch. Custer hit hisfirst-career home run on February 18th against Methodist University(N.C.), the game's winning run. He was hit by an Emorysingle-season record 18 pitches, and finished his career havingbeen hit by 26 pitches, the second-most in school history. Custer was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team forhis success both on the field and in the classroom.
Junior (2006):
Custer competed in 26 games for the Eagles, starting 13. He finished the season with a batting average of .277 with 13 hitsand 14 RBI. He also scored nine runs and had two doubles onthe year. Against Methodist College (N.C.) on April 23 hefinished 2-4 and recorded five RBI.
Sophomore (2005):
Sophomore infielder batted .296 on the season, sixth best on theteam. Had five multi-hit games. On March 1 against North GeorgiaCollege, went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI.
Freshman (2004):
Custer played in 18 games, six of them starts, and batted .345(10-for-29) with six RBI.

Played on the Blue Valley West High School baseball team,serving as the captain of the team during his senior season... Hit.400 during his senior season... Was named to the all-EasternKansas League and all-Sun County teams as a third baseman... Memberof the league championship team in 2002 and 2003, and the regionalchampionship team in 2003... Coached by Bill McDonald... Alsoparticipated in football and basketball while in high school.
