Senior (2007):
In his first year as a full time starter for the Eagles, Vidalfinished the season with a 4-1 record and a 5.20 earned runaverage, as the team won five of his eight starts. The seniorwalked just 14 batters while striking out a career-best 31 over53.2 innings during the season. In his three postseasonappearances out of the bullpen, Vidal did not allow a run in fiveinnings, giving up five hits and striking out four batters. Against Franklin and Marshall College (Pa.), Vidal allowed just onerun over five innings, while striking out three and not walking abatter. He finishes his Emory career with a 5.31 earned runaverage and a 7-2 record over 45 appearances as an Eagle.
Junior (2006):
Vidal appeared in 12 contests of relief for Emory, finishingwith an ERA of 1.72 and a 1-0 record. He pitched 15.2innings, striking out 10 batters. He struck out three batterson two different occasions, against Oglethorpe University (Ga.) onMarch 2 and the University of Rochester (N.Y.) on March 18.
Sophomore (2005):
Sophomore pitcher struck out 17 batters in 23.1 innings. Did notallow an earned run in six of his eight relief appearances.
Freshman (2004):
Vidal was 2-0 in seven games, one of them a start. He threw fiveinnings and allowed two earned runs for the victory against IowaWesleyan March 17.
