Biography

Junior (2009):

Carroll played in 34 games for the Eagles during his juniorcampaign, making 25 starts.  He finished the year with a .264batting average, while driving in 14 runs and scoring 14 runs ofhis own.  Carroll also stole seven bases in eight attemptsduring the season, and of his 23 hits, he had three doubles and onehome run.  During the year, he compiled four multiple RBIgames and five multiple hit games, including a season-best threehits against the University of Rochester on March 10th. Carroll hit his first career home run on April 7th againstOglethorpe University.

Sophomore (2008):

Carroll was the Eagles' top hitter off the bench, leading thesquad with four pinch hits in 10 at bats.  The sophomoreplayed in 22 games, making five starts, and compiling a .222batting average with six runs batted in.  Carroll had twotriples and eight walks during the season.  Over a seven-gamestretch from March 13th-25th, he led the team with a .600 battingaverage (six-for-10) with five RBIs.  Carroll hit .364(four-for-11) with runners in scoring position.

Freshman (2007):

Carroll played in 22 games for the Eagles during his freshmancampaign, finishing the season with a .364 average.  Herecorded an RBI double in his first collegiate at bat, against YorkCollege (Pa.) on February 25th.  The outfielder picked up aseason-best two hits against Case Western Reserve University (Ohio)on March 16th at the University Athletic Association (UAA)Tournament.

Prior to Emory:

Attended T.C. Williams High School, where he played on thebaseball team for five years... Served as team captain during hissenior year... Hit .330 with five homeruns and 21 runs batted induring 2005, and .400 with 17 runs batted in and one homerun during2006... Named to the all-District first team and the co-mostvaluable hitter in 2006... Coached by Scott Grossi... Also playedgolf and swam in high school.
