Freshman (2011):

Castañeda appeared in six games out of the bullpen forEmory during his freshman campaign, recording a 6.43 earned runaverage and striking out four batters over seven inningspitched.  He allowed just one earned run, and two runs total,over his last five appearances, spanning six innings. Castañeda walked just two batters during the year.

Played on the Woodland High School baseball team for fourseasons... Was a co-captain during his junior and senior years...Hit three home runs during his junior campaign, and four during hissenior year... Helped his squad to a Region Championship during hisfreshman year... Coached by Shane West and Corey Gochee in highschool.

Personal:

Born August 15, 1991... National Honor Society and Spanish HonorSociety member in high school.
