The No. 2 ranked Emory University women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw Sunday afternoon against Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.
With the result, the Eagles will leave the Bluegrass state with a 1-0-1 record while the Colonels move to 2-0-1 on the young season.
Both afternoon scores came moments apart in the first half as Centre fired the opening salvo on a Aida Bell strike before the Eagles' Madison Teng answered just 97 seconds later to level the score at 1-1.
Emory ramped up the offense attack in the second half with an 11-4 margin in total shots but neither side could muster a shot on target over the final 45 minutes as the defenses prevailed in the 1-1 stalemate.
The Eagles continue their five-game road swing to start the season with a trip to the northeast next weekend, taking on Babson and Emerson.
