The Emory Volleyball team took a three-set win against Brandeis in its final match of the first University Athletic Association Round Robin today at the University of Rochester, 3-0.
In set one, Emory started off on a 10-2 run, which led to a 25-15 set win.
In set two, the Eagles were leading 18-11 and went on a 7-1 run, which consisted of a block and a kill by
Sydney Kennedy.
Emory was able to close out Brandeis in the third set, 25-21.
Emory hit .276 as a team, with 41 kills and eight service aces.
Ella Moore led the way with 11 kills, followed by
Kennedi White with eight and
Gabija Staniskis with seven.
Staniskis and White also added two service aces apiece.
They will head to Lagrange for a midweek one-off before heading back to New York for the second UAA Round Robin of the year hosted by NYU, where they will play Rochester and Carnegie Mellon.
