The Emory women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season in dominant fashion, delivering a pair of wins against WashU and NYU on the first day of the University Athletic Association Championships.

Against WashU, Carys Code tied with Angela Chen in her matchup after being 2up through 11 holes to earn a half point for the Eagles before sophomore Amanda Zheng earned the first point with her 2&1 victory. Freshman Hannah Mun fell to Nicole McGuire in her matchup, losing 2&1 to give WashU their lone win of the match while junior Zimo Li gave the Eagles their second point as she beat Jessy Young in a dominant 5&4 win. Julia Paek followed that with a win of her own as she took down Eliza Meltzer 4&2 while Esther Jung earned the final win of the match with her 1up triumph over Amy Beanblossom.

The NYU matchup saw the same result for Code as she tied with Inha Jun to earn a half point for the Eagles. Paek and Jung also delivered ties for Emory before Li and Zheng delivered a pair of 3&2 wins against their opponents. The final win for the Eagles came from Mun as she carded a 2&1 win over Carrie Li.

The Eagles will play the final match of the 2026 UAA Championships tomorrow against Carnegie Mellon.
