Emory University sophomore Amanda Zheng has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for her performance during October 19-25. It is the third time she has been chosen as the UAA Athlete of the Week this season and the sixth time so far in her career.
Zheng captured her second individual title of the season last week at the NCAA Fall Preview, shooting a two-round total of 143 (+1). She shot a 74 (+2) in round one and improved to a 69 (-3) in her second round, moving up from fourth place on day one to close out her fall season with a victory.Â
With her performance, the Eagles finished off a perfect fall campaign as the team went 4-for-4 in tournament wins. Emory will enjoy the time off for the winter months before returning to the greens on February 20th with Space Coast Classic in Melbourne, Florida.
