Sophia Asiain scored her first goal of the season off the header to give the Eagles a 3-1 lead.
Alexandra Burtis-Wyant added another insurance goal to secure the win for Emory, shooting from distance thanks to an assist from senior
Kaitlyn Nimmer.
Emory dominated near the net, recording 21 shots to Emerson's six while Emerson led 7-3 in saves on the day.
The Eagles will be back on the pitch Wednesday as they head north to take on Berry before their home opener on Friday, taking on No. 25 Christopher Newport at 8:00 p.m.
