The Emory women's golf team held onto their first-place spot at the NCAA Championship through the third day of competition, shooting a 288 (E) team total in round three to bring their tournament total to 870 (+6).

It's a tight race at the top of the leaderboard as Carnegie Mellon sits only one stroke behind the Eagles at 871 (+7) entering the final round. Fellow UAA program NYU rounds out the top three, sitting ten strokes behind the Tartans with a team total 881 (+17) at the conclusion of Thursday.

Carys Code is leading the Eagles going into the final round, landing in a two-way tie for seventh at 216 (E). The junior shot six birdies and seven bogeys on the day to move up two spots on the individual leaderboard.

Sophomore Zimo Li sits one stroke behind Code after round three, shooting a 75 (+3) this afternoon with four bogeys and a birdie to end the day in a tie for ninth place.

Behind Li is freshman Amanda Zheng who shot her lowest round of the tournament to jump 18 spots on the leaderboard. Zheng finished the day in 12^th after carding a 70 (-2), shooting six birdies and four bogeys on the round.

Covi Yan also saw herself soar up the leaderboard, climbing 34 spots to end the third round in 26^th place. The sophomore shot three birdies, three bogeys and an Eagle on 13 to record a 70 (-2) on day three.

Finishing out the leaderboard for the Eagles is junior Esther Jung who shot a 79 (+7) in her third round. Jung shot eight bogeys and a lone birdie on the fourth hole to end the day in 44^th place.

The Eagles will look to defend their national title tomorrow as they compete in the final round of the NCAA Championship, with tee times beginning at 11:40 a.m. PT at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California.
