Men's swimming & diving grabbed 75 points with its fifth place national showing and men's indoor track & field scored 46 points after taking 25th at nationals in mid-March.
The Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today with points being awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. Overall, 18 sports are counted in the final DIII standings, four of which must be men's and women's soccer and men's and women's basketball. The next highest (14 max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings. Learfield has been the title sponsor for the award since 2008.
The spring edition of the Learfield Directors' Cup standings are set to be produced in early June following the end of the spring seasons.
