Henry Brandstadter Sweeps UAA Most Outstanding Performer Awards

Fresh off his Division III National Athlete of the Week honor, Emory University track & field senior Henry Brandstadter was named the Most Outstanding Performer for both running & field events Thursday afternoon following the University Athletic Association Championships held this past weekend in Cleveland, Ohio. This is the first time in UAA history that a performer has swept both MOP awards during the same meet for either the men's or women's honors.

Brandstandter had a meet for the ages for the Eagles as the Emory men's team finished as the conference's runner-up after the two days in Cleveland.

The senior compiled 48 points for the Eagles thanks to conference championships in the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and high jump events, and was part of Emory's runner-up relay team in the 4x100. Brandstadter posted winning marks of 10.51, 21.61, and cleared a PR of 2.03m (6-7¾) in the high jump.

The two conference awards to the growing legendary UAA career for the senior as he has previously been tabbed as the UAA Outdoor Rookie of the Year in 2023, the Indoor Field MOP in 2024 as well as the UAA Field MOP and Rookie of the Year at the 2023 Indoor Championships.

Brandstadter will look to conclude his stellar Emory career next month at the NCAA Championships from May21-23 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
