Emory track and field coach Linh Nguyen was named the South Region Women's Coach of the Year by the USTFCCCA Thursday afternoon, marking his fifth year in a row receiving the honor.

The Eagles earned 19 All-Region honors under Nguyen's leadership this season, along with Kelsey Coley's bid to the NCAA Indoor Championships, leading to a top 25 team finish at the event. Among those 19 selections were the women's distance medley and 4x400 relay groups as Nguyen had six event groups rank among the top 20 in the national #EventSquad Rankings.

Nguyen will lead the Eagles in their first meet of the outdoor season at home this weekend as they host the Emory Spring Break Classic.
