The Emory track and field NCAA Indoor Championship qualifiers began competition Friday afternoon, with Henry Brandstadter earning All-American honors for the third time in the long jump and John Urciuoli advancing to finals in the men's one mile.
Brandstadter took third in the long jump this afternoon with his 7.28m effort, marking his third time receiving All-American honors at the event. The senior came in second place at both the 2024 and 2025 at the indoor championships.
Urciuoli placed tenth overall in the one-mile race to advance to tomorrow's final, taking sixth in his heat with a time of 4:13.13.
Freshman Kelsey Coley made her first career appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships, placing sixth in her heat to come in 18th overall in the prelims.
Urciuoli will compete tomorrow afternoon at 5:10 p.m. in the men's one mile finals to wrap up competition for the Eagles at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships.
