The Emory women's track and field team had a great final day at the UAA Indoor Championship, taking third place with 110.25 points over the two days. Six Eagles earned All-UAA honors on Sunday, including freshman
Kelsey Coley who clinched the UAA Championship in the 60m hurdles with 8.91 seconds.
Chicago took second place in the team standings with 129.5 points across the weekend and WashU won the UAA title with 186.5 points.
Starting with the field events, freshman
Caroline Henry earned her second set of All-UAA honors in the shot put, placing second with a 12.18m effort. Sophomore
Jeanette Hydukovich joined her on the podium, taking third with her 12.05m throw.
In the triple jump, sophomore
Amaya Grant claimed All-UAA honors with her 11.40m jump to take third place. Junior
Dijaye Carpenter also placed in the top five, finishing in fifth place with her 11.21m performance.
Finishing off the field portion with the high jump, rookie
Gabrielle An was the top Eagle with a 1.54m finish to place in the top ten.
Moving over to the track events, the 4x400 relay team featuring earned All-UAA honors, placing second with a time of 3:53.15.
Freshman
Laura Jablonover also earned All-UAA honors in the 200, taking second with a time of 8.03 seconds.
In the mile, senior
Madison Tiaffay secured a top ten spot with her 5:02.35 time while sophomore
Aaliyah Jalloh held it down for the Eagles in the 400m, placing fifth with a time of 57.66 seconds.
The freshmen duo of
Megan Taylor and
Campbell Fennell joined their classmate Coley in the top ten of the 60m hurdles, claiming fifth and sixth place respectively.
Finishing things off in the 60m race, sophomore
Anna Jennings and Jablonover placed in the top ten, taking sixth and seventh place respectively.
The Eagles will be back in Massachusetts next Saturday as they hit the track for the Tufts Final Qualifier.
