The Emory University softball program added two more wins to their record on Wednesday afternoon downing the Agnes Scott Scotties in Decatur, Georgia.

The No. 18 Eagles improve to 23-4 on the season with the wins while junior
Ashley Chu notched two stolen bases in game one to set the new program record for career stolen bases (77). Fellow junior
Mackenzie Duford earned the win in the circle during game one, her 12
th win of the season while freshman
Lauryn Selvaraj took the win in game two, her sixth straight of the year.

Game 1: Emory 13, Agnes Scott 1

Emory jumped to an early lead in the top of the first inning with Chu starting the game with a single followed by her first stolen base of the game. After a walk to sophomore
Ellie Zerr, junior
Ella Hoyle singled up the middle to bring in the Eagles' first run of the game. The Scotties responded with a run of their own in the bottom of the first inning prompting a pitching change from the Eagles.

In the top of the second, Emory added three more runs to the tally with doubles from the freshman duo of
Shivani Nangia and
Addison Kwong. Chu reached base again in the inning and recorded her second stolen base of the game, the 77
th of her career. Hoyle added another run with an RBI single to end the scoring run with a 4-1 lead. The Eagles had five more hits in the third inning including a two run home run from freshman
Megan Sutton and an RBI single from Kwong.

Sophomore
Sonia Klein opened the scoring in the top of the fourth with a lead off home run to left field, Emory's second of the day. The Eagles would add three more runs in the fourth and two in the fifth totaling 18 hits in the first win of the afternoon

Game 2: Emory 12, Agnes Scott 0
The start of the second game was much quieter than the first game with the game being scoreless until the top of the second. Sophomore
Georgia Pineda opened the game in the circle holding the Scotties to just one hit in her 2.0 innings of work.

Emory opened the scoring with an RBI single from Sutton to take an early 1-0 lead. The Eagles added their second run in the top of the third with an RBI single from Zerr through the right side, her first RBI of the day.

The next two plate appearances for the Scotties were scoreless sending the Eagles to the plate in the top of the fifth inning. Emory was able to score 10 runs in the fifth inning for the 12-0 win on nine hits and an error from Agnes Scott's defense. Six of the Eagles' nine hits in the inning were extra bases including five doubles and a triple from Kwong.

The Eagles will hit the road to face the Chicago Maroons in another conference matchup. Game one of the series is slated to begin at 4:00 PM EST on Friday, April 11.
